How to use magic links for cross newsletter promotions
Understanding magic links
Magic links are a convenient beehiiv feature that allow people to auto-subscribe to your publication from other newsletter platforms. Instead of directing potential subscribers to your website, a magic link initiates the signup process immediately upon clicking, no matter where they are.
Each beehiiv publication has its own unique magic links, which are essentially URLs that you can copy and paste for various uses. Using magic links eliminates the need for manual email entry or navigating through a lengthy subscription process. Additionally, magic links are compatible with a growing number of email platforms.
Where to access your publication’s magic link
After you create a new beehiiv publication, you’ll be assigned a unique URL to use as the base of your magic link.
To access your custom magic links, simply go to the left navigation panel in your account and click on Grow > Magic Links.
Simply select the platform where the magic link will be used, add any advanced options, and we’ll handle the rest. After inputting the info, you can copy each custom magic link from the field and use the URL as you wish.

Advanced Options
Just below the Platform selections for your magic link, you'll find Advanced options. These options allow you to add a UTM Source, UTM Medium, and UTM Campaign to further track and attribute new subscriptions. For more information about these elements, watch the video tutorial below.
You can also add a Redirect URL to guide the new subscriber to once they sign up successfully. Anytime you add any of these elements, they will automatically populate in your magic link URL.
The Reset button is available to clear these fields, making it easy to customize options for different platforms as needed.
