Managing static pages on your publication site
Static pages are a common feature on websites, providing consistent content that doesn’t change often — like About Us or Contact pages. On your beehiiv publication site, you can manage various static pages, including an Authors Page, Subscriber Preferences, and a Multiple Publications page to promote your other publications.
We'll start by showing you where to manage static pages in the Website Builder, followed by a look at some of the different types of static pages available on beehiiv.
How to add or manage static pages
- From the left panel Dashboard, go to Design > Website Builder.
-
The Website Builder will open on the Styles tab. Click on the Settings tab instead and then select Static Pages from the left panel.
-
The Website Static Pages section will open. To feature an Authors Page, toggle the option on so that it shows as being checked. The authors for your publication will be listed.
To remove an author from being featured on the page, click on the 3-dots menu and select Remove from authors page.
-
To have a page dedicated to promoting another publication in your organization, under Multi-Publications, select an option from the dropdown list.
Pro Tip: Featuring your additional publications on your website is an excellent way to provide subscribers with easy access to view and sign up for all your publications at once.
-
Click on Add to confirm your selection.
-
Once added, the publication will be listed under Multi-Publications and a page for it will be featured on your website.
While you can’t currently customize this page, you can add/remove publications at any time. To remove one, click on the X. Changes will be saved automatically.
- If you’ve set up your Subscriber Preferences Center, the preferences will be listed here. You can adjust the order in which these preferences are displayed to your subscribers by dragging and dropping them into place.
- If you offer multiple publications, you can allow your readers to manage their subscriptions to other publications within your organization from a static page on your site. Select them from the dropdown options under Publications and they’ll be added. You can also adjust the order in which the publications are displayed by dragging and dropping them into place. Changes are saved automatically.
Your built-in Authors Page
All beehiiv publication sites come equipped with an Authors Page that can be activated at any time.
While this page is not currently customizable, it will automatically populate with all of the team members of your publication that have published a post, pulling in their profile picture, Twitter link (if added), and name.
Refer to this article for instructions on adding team members to your publication.
When you click on an author, their individual page will open with thumbnails and links to all their published articles. The articles and their related author tags are automatically pulled in order of most recent publication.
