Key features of the subscriber profile dashboard

In your beehiiv account, you'll find a subscriber profile dashboard that provides both a quick overview and detailed data on each of your subscribers. This powerful tool enables you to monitor subscriber activity, engagement, and growth trends, helping you to make informed decisions about your content strategy. With detailed insights into individual subscriber behaviors and preferences, you can tailor your communications and offerings to better meet their needs and enhance their experience with your publication.

We'll go over the different aspects of the subscriber profile dashboard below, simply click on each area to reveal its content. 

    Quick analytics at the top of the dashboard

    Across the top of the subscriber profile dashboard, you can view aggregated statistics for each subscriber at-a-glance. These key metrics provide a snapshot of the subscriber's engagement and value to your publication.

    • Total emails delivered: The total number of posts sent to the subscriber since they joined.
    • Total emails opened: The total number of emails opened by the subscriber since they joined.
    • Open rate: The percentage of emails the subscriber has opened out of the total emails delivered.
    • Click-to-open rate: The percentage of emails in which the subscriber has clicked on one or more links.
    • Total revenue: The total amount each subscriber has paid, helping you quickly identify your most valuable readers.

      Additionally, clicking on the arrow next to Verified CTOR reveals your verified click-to-open rate. 

    Easily view and access subscriber details from the panel on the left side of the dashboard.

    • Map pinpoint: Displays the subscriber's geographical location, allowing you to understand where your audience is based. This map will be updated as your subscriber opens and clicks on your emailed posts.
    • Subscriber email & location: Shows the email address and physical location of the subscriber that's featured on the map above. The location will be updated as your subscriber opens and clicks on your emailed posts.
    • Subscribe date: The date when the subscriber joined your publication.
    • Subscription tier: The tier the subscriber is on, including if they're receiving a discount for a premium subscription, or on a trial.
    • Subscriber status: Indicates the subscriber's current status with helpful color codes for: Active, Paused, Pending, Needs Approval, and Inactive.
    • Unique referral link: The unique link your subscriber can use to refer others to your newsletter.
    • Stripe link: If connected, this will link to your subscriber's paid subscription details in Stripe.
    • Quick links: Provides shortcuts to the subscriber's Unique referral link, Stripe link (if applicable), and their Subscriber management link.
    • Acquisition details: Information on how the subscriber was acquired, such as through a referral link, recommendations, magic link, social media, or a specific campaign. Acquisition details may contain Channel, Source, Medium, Term, Content, Device type, Referring site, and URL details. This information will be based on the UTM details collected at signup.
    • Custom fields: Logs any additional information you have collected about the subscriber, based on the custom fields in your account. Refer to this article for instructions on editing custom fields in subscriber profiles. 
    • Tags: Shows any tags assigned to the subscriber for segmentation and targeted communication.
    • Automation history: A log of the automations that a subscriber is currently or previously enrolled in.
         
    Subscriber Overview tabs under the analytics

    The Subscriber Overview area offers tabs for a variety of subscriber events.  

    Posts Tab

    The Posts tab shows the activity feed of the posts that have been sent to the subscriber. Each feed shows the most recent posts first and displays its date and timestamp. It includes delivery information relating to whether the post was Sent, Delivered, Opened, and Bounced.

    You can search for specific events or filter the results by the event types, Sends, Deliveries, Opens, Clicks, Spam reports, Deferrals, Delivery errors, and Comments.

    Automations Tab

    The Automations tab shows the history of the automations that the subscriber has been through. Each feed shows the most recent events first and features its date and timestamp. It includes when a user was enrolled in the automation as well as delivery information relating to whether the post was Sent, Delivered, Opened, and Bounced.

    You can search for specific events or filter the results by the event type, Sends, Deliveries, Opens, Clicks, Spam Reports, Deferrals, Delivery Errors, Automation Enrollment, and Automation Completed.

    Tech Note: If you have a welcome email automation created for your account, you will see events for that automation in the Automations tab. If you have a stand-alone welcome email created for your account, you will see events for that in the Other emails tab.     Polls Tab

    The Polls tab keeps a record of the polls that have been sent to the subscriber. Each feed shows the most recent polls first and features its date and timestamp. You can search for specific events or filter the results by Poll Responses or Poll Comment.

    Referrals Tab

    The Referrals tab keeps a record of the referrals that the subscriber has provided and the milestones they reach. Each feed shows the most recent referral first and features its date and timestamp. You can search for specific events or filter the results by Milestone Achievements, Milestone Email Sent, 
    or Referrals

    Podcasts Tab

    The Podcasts tab lists podcasts the subscriber has access to through this publication. Each item shows the podcast cover, title, and short description. When the subscriber has no podcasts available to them, the list will be empty. 

    Other Emails Tab

    The Other emails tab keeps a record of additional emails that have been sent to the subscriber. Welcome emails (if toggled on in on the Publications page) and Smart Nudge emails will appear here.

    Tech Note: While stand-alone welcome emails will appear in the Other emails tab, events related to welcome email series can be found in the Automations tab.

    Profile Events Tab

    The Events tab shows a record of the subscriber's status over time, tracking any changes. Each event shows the most recent first and features its date and timestamp. You can search for specific events or filter the results by Subscribes, Unsubscribes, Upgrades, Downgrades, Subscription Paused, or Subscription Resumed

    Billing Tab

    The Billing tab keeps a record of the subscriber's payment history, showing failed and successful payments. Each feed shows the most recent payment first. You can search for specific events or filter the results by Payment Failed, Payment Succeeded, or Gift Purchased.

    Orders Tab

    The Orders tab keeps a record of the subscriber's order and transaction history tied to this publication, including purchases of digital products and paid subscriptions. Each entry shows the date, amount, and payment status, and can be filtered by Product, Product type, or Access type. When the subscriber hasn't ordered anything from you, this list is empty.
