Integrating Kajabi with your beehiiv publication
You can easily connect your Kajabi account to beehiiv using Zapier. This integration allows you to automatically add new subscribers to beehiiv whenever a purchase is made in Kajabi, keeping your email list up-to-date effortlessly.
A ‘Zap’ is an automated workflow that connects apps and services together using Zapier. If this is your first time creating a Zap, you can learn more from the Create your first Zap article from Zapier.
In this guide, we’ll first outline the requirements for integrating Kajabi with beehiiv. Then, we’ll walk you through creating a Zap to transfer customer data from Kajabi to Zapier. Finally, we’ll show you how to connect the Zap to beehiiv to complete the integration.
What you need for this process

- An account with Zapier.
- An account with Kajabi.
- Admin or Owner access to the beehiiv account you’re integrating.

- From the Setup step, you’ll see a box prompting you to select a Trigger. Click on Trigger to open the app module. For the App, search for and select Kajabi.
You’ll also need to select a Trigger event; choose New Purchase. This will trigger the zap to run whenever a new purchase occurs within Kajabi.
Note: In the following images, you may see the 3 steps at the top (Setup, Configure, and Test) marked with a checkmark, indicating completion. However, if this is your first time creating a Zap for Kajabi, these steps will only be checked off as you complete them one by one.

- From the Configure step, you’ll need to select your Kajabi site and offer. Review your settings, then click Continue to proceed.
- You’ll now be in the Test step. Click Test trigger to verify that Kajabi is connected to Zapier and that the trigger event is set up correctly. The test trigger will create a sample from the most recent purchase on your Kajabi account.
- When you’re done testing your trigger, click Continue with selected record to proceed. You’ll be taken back to the Zap Editor, where you’ll see the Action block to continue creating your workflow.
How to connect your Zap to beehiiv
- Next, you’ll connect beehiiv to your Zap. From your beehiiv account, click on the Action block to open the app selection module. Search for and select beehiiv.
- You’ll be prompted to select an Action event, choose Create a Subscriber. This will create a subscriber based on the contact added to the Zap in the previous steps.
- Under Account, you’ll need to connect your beehiiv account to Zapier. After establishing the connection, click Continue to proceed to the Configuration step.
- If you have multiple publications on beehiiv, select the publication you wish to add subscribers to under Publication. Under Email select the Kajabi Email option. Make sure that False is selected under Reactivate existing?.
You can also configure your Double Opt In settings in Zapier. If you don't set it in Zapier, your beehiiv publication settings will apply as usual. If you enable Double Opt In in Zapier, it will override your beehiiv settings for subscribers coming through the Zap.
Pro Tip: If you have Double Opt In set to ON in Zapier, but toggled OFF in beehiiv, for a smoother experience, consider turning on Smart Nudge in beehiiv as well. This ensures subscribers receive a reminder to confirm their subscription. - Review your selections and then click Continue to move to the Test step.
- At the bottom, click Test step to ensure the trigger is correctly sending information to beehiiv via the Zap. When everything is working as expected, click Publish to activate the Zap.
