How to enable auto-accept for new Boosts partners

Skip the hassle of manually accepting new Boosts partners by creating auto-accept rules for new Web Boost partners. When a publication meets your selected criteria, they’ll be automatically accepted to boost your publication — saving you time while ensuring partner quality.

Tech Note: Auto-accept rules apply only to new Web Boost applications. Email Boost applications must still be reviewed and accepted manually. Once you approve an Email Boost, it cannot be paused or disabled — so be sure it’s from a publication you trust.
  1. From the left panel dashboard, go to Grow > Boosts.

  2. You’ll be brought to your Grow with Boosts dashboard. By default, you’ll be on the Overview tab. Navigate to the Applications tab.

  3. At the top of your applications list, click the Enable auto-accept button.

  4. A form will appear on the right where you can define your auto-accept criteria. You can set filters including:
  • Content category
  • Publication language
  • Audience size and location
  • Number of posts
  • Plus additional publication metrics

These filters help ensure only relevant publications are accepted automatically.

  1. Once you’ve configured your parameters, click Enable auto-accept to turn them on for your publication.

  2. You’ll be prompted to confirm your selections. Keep in mind that all current and future applications that match your criteria will be accepted automatically. If you’re sure, click Yes, enable.

  3. When you return to your Grow with Boosts dashboard, you’ll see Auto-accept marked as Enabled.

  4. (Optional) If at any time you wish to disable or edit your auto-accept parameters, click on the Auto-accept button. This will reopen the form, giving you the option to adjust your auto-accept criteria. If changes are made, click Update criteria

Or to remove the parameters entirely, simply click Disable auto-accept to turn off the auto-accept option.

How to enable auto-pause for underperforming Boosts partners

Save time managing your Boosts partnerships by enabling auto-pause for publications that aren’t meeting your performance standards. This helps ensure your budget is going toward partners delivering real, high-quality subscribers.

  1. From the left panel dashboard, go to Grow > Boosts.

  2. You’ll be brought to your Grow with Boosts dashboard. By default, you’ll be on the Overview tab. Above your list of current Grow Boosts publications, click the Enable auto-pause button.

  3. A form will appear on the right side where you can set performance thresholds that will automatically pause underperforming Boosts.
    You can define:
  • Minimum open rate (%)
  • Minimum number of verified subscribers before auto-pause triggers

Example: If a publication sends over 100 verified subscribers but their average open rate drops below 20%, the system will automatically pause the partnership — no manual monitoring required.

  1. Once your criteria are set,  click Enable auto-pause.

  2. A confirmation module will appear summarizing your thresholds and clarifying that any current or future Boosts partners meeting these criteria will be automatically paused if they fall below your set performance standards. If everything looks good, click Yes, enable.

Reminder: If you enable auto-pause, the thresholds you set will apply to all current and future agreements that meet these criteria. Only click Yes, enable if you are sure you wish to proceed.

  3. When you return to your Grow with Boosts dashboard, you’ll see that Auto-pause shows as Enabled.

  4. (Optional) If at any time you wish to disable or edit your auto-pause parameters, click the Auto-pause button. This will reopen the form, giving you the option to adjust your auto-pause criteria. If changes are made, click Update criteria

Or to remove the parameters entirely, simply click Disable auto-pause to turn off the auto-accept option.

How to resume, deactivate, or report a Boosts agreement

If a partner was paused due to auto-pause and you’d like to resume the agreement, you can do this from the same place that you can deactivate the partnership or report the publication if you suspect they’re misusing the Boosts system.

  1. Go to your Grow with Boosts dashboard.

  2. Click the 3 dots menu next to the publication’s name.

  3. Select Resume, Deactivate, or Report, depending on how you’d like to proceed.
