How to earn with Email Boosts
There are 2 types of beehiiv Boosts: Web Boosts and Email Boosts.
Web Boosts appear on the Recommendations page within your Signup Flow and are a great way to monetize your publication by driving new sign-ups to other publications.
Email Boosts are embedded directly into newsletter posts, offering high-quality growth potential by tapping into existing subscriber bases.
The main difference being in who they are for; Web Boosts help you earn by promoting other publications to your existing subscribers, while Email Boosts help you reach new audiences.
How Email Boosts work in the Marketplace
Email Boosts allow you to participate in both sides of the Boosts Marketplace:
- Grow side: Enable your Boosts offer to appear in posts, helping you acquire subscribers from other publications’ audiences.
-
Monetize side: Send Boosts in your posts to earn revenue by promoting other newsletters to your audience.
This article focuses on Monetize Boosts — how to earn by including Boosts in your newsletter posts.

There’s a 72-hour approval window for Email Boosts
- You can include the same Boost offer in multiple posts, but you’ll only get paid for subscribers who sign up within 72 hours of approval.
- You won’t earn anything for signups that happen after the 72-hour window.
- If your post is published online, the Boost will still appear — and subscribers can still sign up — but only signups within the 72-hour window will count toward your payout.

How to get started with Email Boosts on the Monetize side
- To use Email Boosts for monetization, you’ll first need to apply to and be approved for Web Boosts. From the left panel in your account, go to Monetize > Boosts to open your Boosts Marketplace and browse the available offers.
Each offer card features the publication name and description at the top, followed by tags for their Target Audience. Under the tags you’ll find the Boost Types Available with icons for the available Email Boosts and/or Web Boosts with info on the max you can earn per send.
- When you find offers you're interested in, click Apply. Once your Web Boost application is approved, you’ll receive an in-app notification and your application status will change from Pending to Live.
- After being approved for a Web Boost, you’ll be able to apply for Email Boosts for that same publication. From your Monetize Boosts dashboard, navigate to the Overview tab. At the top, you’ll see a list of offers with Email Boosts enabled, along with an Apply to Email Boost button.
Reminder: Publication offers that either don't have Email Boosts enabled or have not yet approved your Web Boost will not be featured here.
When submitting send requests, please note:
- Once your Email Boost application is approved, you’ll receive a notification in-app and by email. You’ll then have 72 hours from the time of approval to include that Boost in a post and get paid for subscribers who sign up during that window.
- To help keep track of this deadline, while creating your post, you’ll see a ‘Send by’ date and time attached to the Boost.
- You can include the Boost in multiple posts, but you’ll only earn for subscribers who sign up within that 72-hour window.
- Your max payout will never exceed the ‘Max Payout’ displayed on the offer and will be the lesser of either the CPA multiplied by the number of subscribers acquired, or the maximum payout listed on the offer.
Pro Tip: Make sure Boost notifications are enabled in your account settings so you don’t miss any approvals or updates.
You can monitor all active and completed Email Boosts from the Email Boosts tab in your Monetize Boosts dashboard, where you’ll also see performance metrics for each send.
