How to join the Partner Program and get your partner link
Anyone on an active beehiiv plan (free trials included) can take advantage of our beneficial Partner Program by accessing it via the dashboard in your account.
This article will cover how to join the Partner Program (PP) from your dashboard and get access to and start using your partner link, then how to monitor your referrals. You’ll only need to do the first 4 steps of the process outlined below once. Then after you’re all set up in your account, refer to our Getting Started guide for next steps and to access an arsenal of tools and tips so you can make the most of your beehiiv partner link.
First, sign up and get your link
- From the top navigation menu, click on Share & Earn to access the Partner Program in your account.

Start using your partner link
By default, your partner link will look similar to this example: https://www.beehiiv.com?via=tyler.
You can use your partner link with any pages found on beehiiv marketing sites including:
Should you want to send your referrals to a particular page on a beehiiv site, you can simply add your partner extension to the end of the page URL (that’s the ? and beyond, ?via=tyler).

Create more partner links
If you’d like to edit your custom partner link or create additional partner links, click on the Links tab.
To edit your link, click on Edit Link, make your changes, and then click on the Update button.
To create additional partner links, click on the New Link button and a new link will be automatically generated and listed on the page for you to Edit or Copy.
Monitor your referral action
Your PP dashboard is where you can check in on the action from your referrals. Keep in mind that there is a 30-day trial period and then a 30-day provisioning window, so you’ll need to be patient.
When your partner link referrals start rolling in, you’ll be able to see all of your stats at a glance from the top of your dashboard.
- Visitors are the unique traffic you create, as in when someone clicks a valid PP link and lands on our site.
- Leads represent the amount of visitors/traffic that actually sign up for a beehiiv account.
- Conversions show the amount of those leads that end up paying for any beehiiv plan after their 30-day trial.
- Commissions show your total commissions to date, as well as what is pending, due, and paid.
You can also see how your progress compares to others by clicking on the Leaderboard tab in your PP dashboard.
Don’t forget to include a partner disclosure
As a member of the beehiiv Partner Program, the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) legally requires that you tell your audience that you are using partner links.
This can be done in 2 ways:
- You can add a partner disclosure message to the pages that you use your partner link on.
- You can provide a link to a page where your audience can read a full partner disclosure message.
If you would like more information on the legality of using partner links, please visit the FTC website.
