Publication security settings
Your publication’s security settings are found in the Website Builder, where you can make sure you are GDPR and CCPA compliant and control the option for subscriber’s to log in with a password.
Where to enable GDPR and CCPA compliance
- From the left panel Dashboard, go to Design > Website Builder.
- The Website Builder will open on the Styles tab. Switch to the Settings tab, then click on Security from the options in the left panel.
- The Security section will open. From here you can enable or disable the following options. Changes will be saved automatically.
Note: In order to be GDPR and CCPA Compliant, both of the following options will need to be checked in your account.
Cookie Banner: Enable this option to display a cookie banner when someone first visits your site to allow them to opt out of certain cookies. Simply toggle it on so that it shows as being checked.
Signup ToS and Privacy Policy: Enable this to display your company Terms of Service and Privacy Policy upon sign up. Subscribers will then need to check the box in order to sign up.
- (Optional) Click on Edit Signup ToS to to add specific content for your Terms of Service (ToS) and Privacy Policy. Enter your content into the Terms of Service field and then click Confirm.
How to disable the subscriber password login option
From your publication’s security settings, scroll down to the Log In section. By default this option is already enabled. To disable it, click the option for Subscriber Password Log In so that it turns gray and is toggled off. Changes will be saved automatically.
When toggled off, the login page will only display the option for subscribers to receive a link by email to log in to your publication.
