How subscribers can manage their subscriptions
Subscribers can manage their subscription through the footer of any email post or by logging into their profile on your publication’s website.
Managing a subscription from an email footer
Every post’s email footer features a link to their subscriber's preferences where they can manage their profile, preferences, referrals (if enabled), paid subscriptions (if enabled), and unsubscribe.
Unless customized, it appears in the footer as: Update your email preferences or unsubscribe here.
Clicking ‘here’ takes the subscriber to their profile page, where they can:
- Update their email preferences.
- Manage their profile.
- View their referral progress (if applicable).
- Adjust or cancel paid subscriptions (if applicable).
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter.
For paid subscriptions:
- Downgrade moves the subscriber to a lower or free tier at the end of the billing cycle.
- Unsubscribe cancels the subscription and stops all emails immediately.
Managing a subscription from the publication website
Subscribers can also manage their subscription by logging into your publication’s website.
- Log in to a beehiiv publication site and click on the profile icon found in the top right corner.
