DKIM & DMARC

Along with SPF, DKIM and DMARC are email authentication protocols that beehiiv employs.

  • DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) is an email authentication method that adds a digital signature to an email's header. This signature helps verify that the email was sent by the claimed sender and hasn't been altered during transit.
  • DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance) is a policy framework that builds on DKIM and SPF. It helps prevent email spoofing and phishing by providing a way for email senders to authenticate their messages and instruct email receivers on how to handle unauthenticated emails. DMARC also enables senders to receive reports about email authentication failures.
